The Jonathan Teuscher Scholarship


   
How are the recipients of the scholarship chosen?
Each school will establish a selection committee. Each selection committee will consist of three individuals and will include one teacher, one student and one support staff. The selection committee will solicit scholarship applications, review the applications and select an applicant that best meets the selection criteria. A final review team that consists of Colleen Taggerty (Assistant Superintendent of of Erie 2 Chautauqua Cattaraugus County BOCES and friend of Jonathan's) and one member from each school's selection committee. This team will review the applications, meet with the applicant and approve the district's selection. In years when a scholarship is not awarded at each school, this team will select and award the available scholarship(s) to the best applicant(s).
Disbursment of the Funds
The winners will be awarded upon entrance into the first year of continuing education, and will continue upon the entrance into each of the second, third, and fourth years of continuing education after completion of the prior year with a GPA required by the school. The scholarship will be paid to the winner in $312.50 installments before the fall and spring semesters.
